Maintaining the equipment involved in the transmission of electricity across the country.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my program. There is always something new to learn and the amount of training courses I receive is excellent. Everyone on my team has a vast wealth of knowledge and are always willing to help.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

So far I have developed my existing Math and English skills. I have also been helped to expand my engineering and fitting knowledge.

My program is well structured. There is a great balance of off/on the job learning

I recieve a great amount of support from my employer. There is always someone available to help assist me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support from my training provider. The trainers have a vast amount of knowledge that they enjoying passing on to us.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Every thing we are taught is geared towards the role I am undertaking.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

When at the training center there are a lot of activities to do. There is a football pitch, bar area with pool tables and a dart board, there are a large number of mountain, road and electric bicycles for use. there is also a games room with a ping pong table, board games and you can connect games consoles to the tv's.

Research the company and the job role you wish to apply for. Learn about substations and the equipment involved and how they work e.g. transformers, different types of circuit breakers, isolators, air compressors.
