Complete 6 month rotations in different areas of the supply chain, including sourcing, quality, materials, planning, logistics, operations. Complete university studies throughout the apprenticeship alongside this.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Well thought out and wide variation of rotation placements. Permanent role after the apprenticehsip is highly likely, but not guaranteed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support from university lecturer and managers- line manager and our different placement managers to ensure development and learning.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots- our lecturer is very knowledgeable and supportive and always available to contact with any questions every day, even when she is not working with us.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Good links between university work and placement work helps you apply theoretical learning to your role to help understanding. The degree/ content of the degree is very in depth and relevant to our roles in the company and potential roles in the future

Why?
This apprenticeship is a really good way to study management as the huge practical side of the scheme offers experience and development you couldn't gain in other ways. Learning off very experienced employees in the business is also a very valuable opportunity, great benefits and connections to make.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to GE Aerospace?
Ensure you have skills and experience that stretch beyond academics, be confident and passionate about business and willing to learn
