Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Throughout the apprenticeship, the job roles rotate to give you the best perspective and experience across the whole of the business unit. I first went into Manufacturing Engineering and this gave me a plethora of practical and technical skills which improved my product knowledge. Very interesting and motivating role. Brilliant.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy the programme, my first rotation has been so insightful into how the business operates and the use of individual products. The most enjoyable thing so far has been feeling trusted to go into the production lines and look for ways to improve the current process.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Practical skills such as creating form boards and fixing equipment.
Technical skills such as designing a new form board structure.
Presenting skills to portray ideas and concepts to the the business leaders.
Communication skills dealing with people across the business unit in different departments.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The Apprenticeship is well structured with job roles being changed and varied every 6 months.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive great amounts of support from my manager, the apprentice manager and general employees on a daily basis. However, I am left to my devices as they trust me to do my job to the best of my ability which is a rewarding feeling.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I am relatively new to the scheme, but so far I cannot complain as I have received a great amount of support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My Leadership qualification helps me every day to communicate with different teams and achieve success in mutual projects and interests. Pulling different people together from different functions is a valuable skill which I credit to the qualification training I am currently working through.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
You can get involved with several volunteering activities such as career events, work experience, helping the local community, attending local events and playing in site sports teams such as apprentice football.
