Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

We did workshops, focusing on technical skills. We also listened to a number of panels on the Amazonian culture, advice on mentorship, internships and working at Amazon.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Heard from a wide variety of people - programmers, recruiters, etc. Not all the roles were technical, although there is a focus on System Engineers.

Seemed to have a strong, clearly defined culture with a great focus on different focus groups (e.g BAME, LGBT+) to celebrate diversity.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

Very! I enjoyed getting feedback and talking to my workshop leader to go through problems. I also enjoyed listening to the panels, particularly the ones where technical interviews were explained and what values they were looking for.
