Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
In 3-6 month placements that can be involved in stress, fatigue, design, repairs and more.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
It is stressful juggling university, level 4 qualification work and the actual day job but overall it is worth it. I enjoy the experience it gives me and the opportunities in the future.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I have developed CAD skills greatly. Also developed range of soft skills such as communication, collaboration.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
For the most part it is well organised and structures although I do not believe the organisation of teaching of the university degree is optimal as it is split between Weston College and UWE.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Support is definitely excellent. Managers are understanding and supportive of any struggles we may have and with academics.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Support is there if you need but the quality of teaching in my opinion is sub-par.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
It does not in my honest opinion. The level 4 qualification is unnecessary and simply extra work, it doesn't specifically help me perform better. The university degree is good for contextual understanding but rather irrelevant in day-to-day tasks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are many events, socials, activities, sporting events that you can take part in.
