Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Preparing food, organising day and completing due diligence training staff and lots of cleaning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
Not much and very stressful and when you work 60 hours some weeks and tired, needing to spend an hour training on days off, quite demanding.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
I have just completed similar training to in house training covering same subjects. There were lots of subjects and completed multiple choices in two days but had to wait weeks for it to be redone every week.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
Not structured and had to complete maths English to progress, had temporary manager controlling course outcome and trainer conspired to stop me taking final multiple choice test . The mock, I passed and did not take final test until three months later.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
Not a drop from any company, as they only interested in themselves. Not even well done on completing maths English.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
No much at start, maths tutors on basic way bellow exam level and when questions got a little hard, 99% of time they run out of time. The hour wasted, however they did get back to me after and a small number would not just fob me off with trainning material and would help. In the end I paid for private tutor and got a tutor from lifetime, who had that knowledge to train me to pass exam, that was harder than any published training material and previous test. Lifetime also changed computer program and made coursework hard to find and navigate.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
It prepares you for lots of common knowledge training test, which become common these days. Even with all this knowledge you still have to navigate through your job under pressure and with little support and work with people makes implications of any training difficult. We use modern computer to record records and they use monitors to control coking times, however when these systems fail nobody in any company is interested.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
No

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Mitchells and Butlers to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I have made friends and was allowed to training and got support and feedback in past to help me grow and helped train support people from work experience to managers and showed them all that was great about Mitchell and Butlers.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitchells and Butlers?
They need to have communication with there manager and not deputy, as they are poorly trainned. They need to get a training program in place or they will just be used. They should monitor hours worked as software makes mistakes and managers never check.
