Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In this apprenticeship, for the first year you are in a sheltered environment in Cardiff, Wales, for exams, basic hand skills training and to get into the aircraft maintenance world. after the first year, for the next two years i will move around to different bases being able to experience, commercial and milatary both fixed wing and rotary. Each place i go to will be for a six month time period. Upon graduating, I will be able to choose what one suits myself the most and will be able to work there permanently once graduated.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt the basic hand skills for aircraft maintenance so far, including wire locking, plane jacking, riveting, ect. I have also slowly getting my A-Lisense qualifications.
