Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Client work, property management, availability schedules, development appraisals, client meetings, working with teams both internally and externally, CPD, developing competencies for APC, ringing up external agents
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the level of responsibility we are given, the calibre of clients we have, the people we deal with on a daily basis, working with people from across the business
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Developed communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving skills, methods of valuation, law for surveyors, RICS best practise and guidelines, how to practice surveying ethically, using the software and programmes needed for surveying, data management, health and safety
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured. Rotate every 4 month and guidance given on this. APC diary, CPD diary and regular chances to develop CPD always given. External companies come in to help with CPD, very structured guidance on how to prepare for APC, given a councillor and supervisor and team mentor
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support given. As well as our line manager we are given an APC supervisor and counsellor and assigned a team mentor. We are constantly provided with workshops for APC and CPD. Regular HR catch ups, a share point with all the resources we need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Constant check ins and guidance provided. Externally people like APC success come in for workshop days. We meet with out counsellor and supervisor every few months to discuss progress. My UCEM masters- we are given a study day as week and guidance on this to complete our studies.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have learnt the theory which I can apply practically to my role. So far in my masters I have done a module in Valuation and Law; both of these have allowed me to practically do reports for my line manager to a high standard,
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have grad sports teams such as netball, football, charity committees, Instagram committees, monthly grad drinks, client networking events especially for grads (eg a client breakfast and networking drinks after work), workshop days with networking afterwards, days to meet other teams and network for our rotations.

Be yourself, they want a range of backgrounds, you don't necessarily need experience in the industry but you need to show an interest. Be open to meet lots of people and get lots of experience- say yes to everything they offer
