Each day, I complete my lab tasks as well as attending meetings, replying to emails and interpreting results and data from my lab work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme and the work I do. It is a job that I am happy to go to each day.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new laboratory skills and am developing in confidence and scientific knowledge. My IT skills are also improving.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well organised. I know what I will be doing in the short term and in the longer term (over the next few years).
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A huge amount of support - I have weekly catch ups with my manager. I also have a buddy that supports me too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Quite a lot of support. There are regular study skills workshops and emails are sent out frequently from academic tutors.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Knowledge and skills from some of the modules is relevant to my role and gives me further background information.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, I am a STEM ambassador so I go into schools to promote STEM careers. There is also an apprentice networking group that I get involved in.
