Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In the first year we spend our time in a college environment working towards the level 2 NVQ modules as well as opportunity for A license. We also have time spent in the sheltered hangar environment doing simulated maintenance and sheet metal work.
In the coming second and third year, there will be on-job training.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is good however we are itching to get into a hangar to work on active aircraft but we understand we need training first

I have developed my hand skills. I have learnt a lot from the ongoing modules we have been studying

The structure is easy to follow and understand where we are at and what is going to happen

We receive a fair amount of support. Our manager travels in at least once a week to support us face to face with any company problems
