Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am an accounts Payable Apprentice and my role involves mainly working on Incoming invoice and processing this includes rates processing through to business rates coders. Other task such as managing a monthly Rates control Report, dealing with councils on a daily basis regarding refunds or queries on properties / Accounts are also apart of my duties.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a wide range of skills, such as excel to professional emails. liaising with people in Savills to providing information to suppliers on key queries they may have. I have developed in my communication skills as well as my time management skills, by balancing both full time work and Diploma .

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The training programme is well structured and allows me to work at a pace that ensure I have a balance in both my education and practical learning
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer supports me massively when it comes to my apprenticeship, and I feel at ease knowing that I have support whenever I need it, and this makes me feel a lot less pressured
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I also receive a lot of support from my training provider, and my tutor is there to support me if ever I am struggling with my qualification in any area
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Alot of the content that I have been learning in my qualification crossed over with the work I do in the workplace, so It allowed me to have an understanding of the processes that Savills used.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
I would say to anyone, that they should be themselves, and show they skills to the best that they can, take advantage of cover letters, take pride in your CV, personal brand and image is everything and is something that first impressions are always based off
