Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I assist the Commercial Agency team with letting and selling commercial properties. On a day-to-day basis I normally communicate with external clients, go out on property viewings and inspections with other members of my team, while also spending one day a week studying towards my degree in real estate management.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme. The programme gives me the opportunity to work while studying - which is something that appealed to me about the apprenticeship programme. The support that I receive from my team encourages me to do my best - both with the on the job and off the job training.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills, as I started my apprenticeship with little knowledge on the industry. I have learnt how to communicate with clients and respond to property enquiries. I have also developed skills through studying at the UCEM - these includes understanding construction techniques and different terms associated with contract law.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think that the programme is well structured. The allocated one day a week is very helpful when it comes to tackling to university side of the programme. Having the chance to set aside time to complete the studying allows me to plan my working day better. The university course is structured well, and I am able to work through the content without much assistance.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Given the number of apprentices which the company employs, it can be hard to find someone to speak to when it comes to apprenticeship queries. However, the overall support from my team has been excellent. They are always happy to help me when it comes to any questions I have regarding the job - or any subjects which I find challenging when studying.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider provides good support - there are plenty of options which are available to students and the regularly get in touch to ensure I am up to date with my studies.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The main content of my course is mostly not relevant to my role - however there are some modules which provide a deeper insight into the broader topics which I sometimes cover in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes - there are plenty of social activities arranged in my office and I get involved in professional networking events arranged by my team.
