Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Currently College Monday - Friday, Involving 3 days theory and 2 practical days, practical days involve small tasks on aircraft units and metal work in a workshop. Course is 6 months in College only then being moved to site for experience working on Aircraft and be moved into our permanent workplace groups.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very much enjoy, friendly group and an enjoyable experience as well as involved and friendly management.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Many new skills with metal work and tool usage. As well as hand skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Programme is well organised, has had some hiccups due to being the first cohort of this programme type, but a lot is known and well communicated
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of support from employer, management visit college and are always contactable.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A good amount of support, tutor is brilliant and very caring about our personal needs and progress.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Its given me a good platform and insight to becoming confident on using tools and getting started in the workplace, but not yet in workplace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Not really, is good communication about netwroking but at current stage no extra cirricular.

Honesty is a huge value of the company, primarily a want and a passion for working with aircraft, people skills and a variety of experience is key
