Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Due to it being my first year on the Apprenticeship I am still in training. Developing my hand skills and preparing for On The Job training to begin in July.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 6 months of the programme and i look forward to pursuing the next 2 years within the company and completing my apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my wire-locking skills during my time in college, I have also learnt the basics of vital components on the aircraft and how they operate.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Due to being a CAA approved course, our programme has been structured formally and very well organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received support from my employer on many occasions. They have been very support during my exam periods with revision and recovery plans.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have received a lot of support from the ICAT during my training. They have been extremely resourceful and helpful assisting me with my CAA Modules.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As there are 2 ex-military lecturers, they help us understand the underpinning knowledge by referring to scenarios they have faced in their careers.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many extra-curricular activities at Cardiff and Vale College but I have not yet attending any due to being busy
