Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My job at the minute involves making sure I am settled into all things E.ON. My placement at the moment has made this a priority by encouraging networking and making sure I have independence in small projects that involves replying to emails, having discussions and and contributing to team projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme, the balance of work and university is the perfect combination to maintain my interest and performance. I feel my programme provides me with endless amounts of guidance and support which makes learning easier and more enjoyable which encourages me to go outside my comfort zone.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed a whole range of new skills, mainly learning how to use and maximise Excel which has become really useful and important in my job role. Furthermore, I have massively improved skills such as public speaking and presenting which I have felt very well supported on. Even skills such as setting up meetings and writing and sending debriefs is something I have improved on and that has now become part of my everyday job.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I feel my programme is very well organised. I have my set uni days where I can solely focus on my uni work and make sure I am performing well in that. I also have a well structured placement with regular catch ups that ensure my progress is of standard and so that nay improvements can be made incrementally to give me the best chance of succeeding. Overall, I think the structure is more than adequate to provide me with the best chance of doing well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I feel I receive endless amounts of support from EON whether that be through my manger, the early careers team, my buddy, mentor or sponsor. It is ensured I have a range of people I am comfortable with for help when and if I require it. Also the support isn't just there when asked for, check ins are a regular occurence in order to provide as many opportunities as possible to ask for help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a lot of support in ensuring I have optimal time to do my uni work. York St John ensure there are regular communication links between our tutors and the students and it is made clear calls for clarity and support are welcomed at all times.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I definitely feel that I can apply the theory of what I am learning at uni to so many aspects of my day job. This helps me comprehend the content better which enables me to perform better in assignments as well as allowing me to perform my job role in professional way.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a range of activities to get involved in at work. For example EON have an extensive range of networks that you can get involved in as well as having fun gatherings like bake sales in the offices to not only encourage networking around the business but created a fun and inviting environment.
