Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
A lot of my work is focussed on costing materials and reconciling these costs. I also spend time correcting any sales order errors that occur. I also complete monthly responsibilities that allow me to reconcile the costs of the materials I have costed throughout the relevant month.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The programme I am currently completing is accounting and finance. I thoroughly enjoy the programme as this is something that has always interested me and has provided me with a lot of knowledge and understanding that I otherwise would not receive.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
In my apprenticeship, I have developed and enhanced a lot of skills. I have developed a lot of new skills corresponding to the use of excel whilst also progressing skills that I already obtained. I have also learned a lot of skills using SAP software which helps me to complete my day to day tasks.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme has a very organised structure. I am fully aware of where I should be and when I should be there. Specifically, I attend college every Monday, will work remotely on Tuesdays and Fridays and will work from the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This process is maintained each week, which provides me with a good balance.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support from Tata. If there is anything job specific, there is always people around on the team to offer a helping hand but also, on a much wider scale, monthly buddy meetings are held with mentors allocated to us who have a lot of experience and can answer any queries I may have or can give some really helpful advice.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The training provider always updates our teams page weekly with a multitude of different material to aid with the qualification. In addition to this, every 6 weeks a one to one meeting is held with a member of the training provider to again answer any questions and to provide support and additional help with some of the material or any revision techniques.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification provides me with the fundamental skills and understanding to perform my day to day tasks. It offers a lot of key information towards understanding processes such as ledgers and debiting and crediting accounts. This give me extra knowledge that I can apply to my work to help perform more accurately and efficiently.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
With work, there are some options for extra curricular activities. There is a social group that offer a range of different events whether that be out of work hours or in a lunchtime perhaps. However, the main source of event is that every few months each team has a couple of hours out of the office to enjoy an activity of their choice.
