Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Everyday, someone from one of the departments at Bloomberg (e.g., analytics, sales, global data, etc.) introduced themselves and their department. In addition to that, whenever fitting, there were also very useful terminal demonstrations.
Furthermore, there were different panel discussions and we were able to choose from a list of assignments to work on as a group of 6-7 people.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Overall, I got a great insight. However, I would have wished more / different insights and maybe also a workshop on the sales department.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I mostly learned a lot about the Bloomberg terminal use within just one week.
Furthermore, I definitely gained time management skills because we only had limited time to work on our group project to make it successful and gather significant data.
Lastly, I was able to further develop my public speaking skills by different assignments, where I had to speak up and talk about myself/the group project.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Bloomberg gives off a lot of "tech"-company vibes. Everyone is extremely friendly, helpful and open. There seems to be possibility for a lot of career progression in a relatively short time. Furthermore, the diversity amongst the employees was great.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I very much enjoyed the insight. It gave me a thorough insight I couldn't have gotten without attending the spring week. It was a bit tiring at some points because it was all virtual and I would have wished that maybe at least 1 or 2 days would have been in-person.
