Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The insight was an introduction to the Global Data and Sales & Analytics departments. The activities that were undertaken included various departmental workshops, soft skills workshops, global data exercises, sales & analytics exercises as well as a group challenge

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was amazing. The practical exercises really allowed us to do the type of work they'd do on the job which was good to experience practically. There was ample time to speak to employees and ask about their day to day roles

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes. I developed many financial skills as we had to do a stock pitch. Furthermore, we got access to the Bloomberg terminal so I learnt many skills specific to using and navigating the terminal

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

You can tell Bloomberg values their staff. All the employees were very nice and eager to help everybody learn via answering questions and volunteering their time.
