To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I absolutely love my apprenticeship! I love the hands on experience and most of all I love the challenges that each day brings! I like a variety of work and Vodafone most definalty have that, I was worried that I wouldn't understand or do well in the telecommunication sector, however, my only regret now is not doing it sooner! I love the fact that I am being paid to do a degree and my degree is also being paid for.

Skills Development

-Lesson project managers are problem solvers! We think outside the box
-RAID log management
-Multitasking
-Stakeholder engagement skills
-Running customer meetings
-Prioritising
-Working to tight deadlines
-Working in teams all over the world, building relationships and learning about other cultures
-Budget and resource planning

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
From Vodafone's side its very well structured and hands on. My manager is so supportive and he makes sure that I am put in teams where I will be supported and developed further which I love. My university provider on the other hand is not structured well for an apprenticeship as it is more like a full time degree rather than an apprenticeship. However with Vodafone's support this is now being sorted so that I am on an Apprenticeship rather than a part-time/ full-time degree.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive so much support from Vodafone, they really go above and beyond! They are advocates for inclusion and metal health awareness which is something that really means a lot to me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I would say that there has been a few struggles with my course where it isn't really meant for an Apprenticeship. However with Vodafone's support this has now been actioned and is getting resolved.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I am able to relate some tasks at work back to my university course and likewise the other way around. The content on our University platform helps to explain why things are done in certain ways. It is nice to gain an understanding into the academic's whilst also gaining the hands on experience within the workplace, which link together nicely.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are social activities, mostly at our head office in Paddington. However we do have a table tennis area in Newbury where we have miniature games to socialise. Every now and then there is a V-bar in head office for Youth where you get free drinks after work to encourage solicitation.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Vodafone to a friend?
Yes
Why?
My team, buddy and manager are so supportive and I am not expected to know everything. Its okay to gets things wrong as we 'experiment and learn fast'. I feel safe, secure and supported in Vodafone and I wish I applied for a role sooner! Work life balance is amazing, I have a 9 year old Autistic son who has additional appointments and my manger is happy for me to attend those appointment and to just work the time back (something which no other employer has ever offered me). We have spirt days 4 times a year which can be used for charity days, mental health awareness days or even as a training day!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
I wish I did it sooner!
