Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role is a Data Analyst in Internal Audit. It consists of cleaning, transforming and querying datasets so we can get insights and create visualisations to ensure audits are thorough.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy learning and developing my skills. I am not the biggest fan of coding and the more technical side of things but my program manager has been great in finding me work that can help develop my soft skills while still developing my interest and love for technology.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes I have, I have learnt how to use MSSQL and Qlik Sense. I had some experience with Power BI before, and using Qlik has been easier with that prerequisite

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The program is well structured. Semester lectures are communicated in advance and lecturers are extremely helpful and always willing to help.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Immense support! My manager is aware I am studying while learning, this means that when I am away once a week to study, that is respected. Also if I need some extra time to finish an assignment they are supportive of me taking some extra time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The support is great! All lecturers as well as the program leader want you to do well. You can always reach out to them and receive the help you need. WE also have a team specially dedicated to helping us with our academic writing, proof reading and more.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The fundamental modules I have done this year have all come into play when working on various audits. I am able to understand things are a little better at work with some of the knowledge gained from uni.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there are plenty of networks you can join at Vodafone (these are like societies ) e.g- Black Professionals Network, Coding Club and so much more. Additionally, the youth committee made up of Apprentices and Grad organise socials for the apprentices and graduates on the youth programs.
