Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The first three days were primarily focussed on learning about the role and the technical aspects of it. There were also several helpful sessions on public speaking and D&I intertwined with these learning sessions. The fourth day was focussed on applying what we had learned during exercises on the Bloomberg Terminal. Throughout the week we were also working on a group project that were all presented on the final day.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
There was a day each allocated to learning about the departments within the scope of the insight week (Analytics & Sales, and Global Data). Sessions and Q&As were devoted to learning about specific roles within these departments and how you can progress through your career at Bloomberg. It was made clear to us throughout the week that your path through the company could be completely unique and take on a wide number of roles

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Bloomberg stands unbeaten on company culture and particularly how welcoming employees are to interns and the general sense of collaboration is really felt

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
It was a thoroughly enjoying week and the only taint on it was that it was online rather than in-house. In future, this should be much less of an issue so I strongly advise doing this insight if you get the chance

Study everything you can about the company and don't be shy in finding someone who works there to talk to. They admire networking and are extremely keen when you show interest in the Company
