Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I would complete different tasks every day depending on what different employees needed help with, for example completing valuation inspection forms or going through a COI letter.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was made very clear through different Zoom talks and speaking to different people in my department. It was interesting to find out the wide breadth of people working at Savills and the different pathways I could take.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I learnt a wide range of new skills as I was completely new to real estate. I learnt many technical terms and came to understand how the different teams in Savills work and how the divisions interact with each other. I also learnt how to fill in different inspection forms and use Rightmove Plus software.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was very welcoming. Everyone said hello and was happy to help with any questions, as well as inviting us to help them with different tasks or explaining a particular concept. We were invited to lunch and networking breakfasts where people were very helpful and willing to share their experiences..

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed learning about the company in general and the different opportunities there are. Even though I had zero knowledge about real estate, everyone was very understanding and helpful in explaining new concepts.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills
Try to speak to everyone and don't be intimidated, everyone working there is very friendly and approachable. Make the most out of the experience by learning as much as you can and don't be afraid to ask questions.
