Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Every day was different and varied, ranging form helping to fill out valuation forms to writing reports on findings and going out on site visits. During the day there would often be a zoom meeting giving you insight into all the different sectors allowing you to learn more about different areas and ask any questions which was really helpful. Throughout the week you had a graduate mentor, who help you with tasks and provide insight.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was really inspiring learning about the potential opportunities Savills has to offer as well as career progression. It was really valuable learning about all the different sectors and the rotations available in the graduate scheme. All the speakers as well as my mentor where really knowledgeable and gave great advice with regards to pursuing a career in property.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned so much in my insight week; the daily zooms have helped fuel my interest in different areas. While my placement has taught me so much about farming and policies. I have developed new skills such as using online mapping software and navigating.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone in the company was welcoming and introduced them selves, as well as explaining their sector and giving up their time in a busy work day to answer your questions and give advice.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I loved the insight, I have enjoyed my experiences from helping with valuations and reports. However the highlight of my week has been visiting an site and getting out into the countryside! the insight program has also been really inspiring and helped me find areas of future interest.
