Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Project Management apprentices usually are helping to oversee projects whilst they are still in training. With many different placements, there are many opportunities to see/work in different parts of the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I think my programme offers a great opportunity to get a degree qualification, whilst being able to have real life day-to-day on the job experience, plus an added salary whilst you are learning.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt how to operate applications, such as: Microsoft project, Microsoft Excel.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
A lot of thought has gone into the structure of the programme and so far it has proved to be well structured. Either way there is an opportunity to offer your opinions and actually have the scheme changed for the future you, or for the upcoming years.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
There is always support available from many different avenues, depending on your problem. Some are more efficient than others, but there are always options available.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Lots. By having different options available, it's rare to not have your question/concern answered/dealt with at all.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It is definitely teaching me the do's and don't's that has prevented me from making mistakes up to now. The use of the new online applications you are taught about do become useful in the day-to-day job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are 100's of events, podcasts, sessions, available for all employees to attend and sport teams have been organised for charity events. There are STRETCH opportunities which is extra work you can take on outside of your role.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Flexibility is available in most things, even the times you work (to an extent), the support and resources available are limitless and there's a good wage that goes along with learning and earning a degree at the end of it - if that's something you are interested in.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Have all of your possible security documents handy before applying so you are able to get them sent in quickly and easily.
