Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Working with suppliers and engineers to place contracts for pieces of equipment. Working on admin tasks, spreadsheets, weekly/daily meetings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
It depends on the placement. Some placements are really enjoyable and you gain a lot from, but others not so much.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
The apprenticeship has definitely helped to improve my confidence and communication skills, as well as IT Skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
I am a supply chain apprentice, however the qualification that I am working towards is a L2 Business Administration. I think it would benefit me more if there was a level 2 supply chain qualification that I could work towards, as this would relate more to my job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes there are often activities held, such as away days.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The benefits from working at BAE Systems are brilliant - competitive salary, share scheme, pension, cycle-to-work scheme etc.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Be confident and show personality - I can only speak for supply chain personally, but being a 'people person' is really encouraged here.
