Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Currently a project controller so my day-to-day role consists of project control activities such as monitoring spend and progress against the project plan/schedule.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy this programme, particularly the experiences that are available to me and the endless learning opportunities.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a plethora of skills ranging from technical such as ability to develop spend data and utilise toolsets, to personal skills such as my networking abilities.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is exceptionally well organised for each year and it is clear what is expected of me throughout the scheme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support received from my employer is more than enough and they are constantly checking in and ensuring that you are happy in both your work and even personal life. If there are any issues perhaps impeding your performance they are there to identify solutions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Plenty, if extra time is required to finish assignments before a deadline, my employer understands and offers support to ensure I can do so - understanding that my degree sometimes takes precedent. However, this is not to be taken advantage of and you must ensure uni work is completed off the job.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Sometimes the theory can be applied in the placement however, this is dependent on what role you are in and the processes used. I believe that the content we learn is important but not always relevant to your placement.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are always opportunities and events to get involved in within the business, however, these are not always made apparent and you have to go searching for them. I feel as though post Covid-19 more social activities could take place.
