Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am working as a Project Manager which entails a lot of communication and time keeping every day. I have to know what is happening around me and what is coming up that I need to be involved with in order to do my job in the best way possible.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am really loving the programme so far as it is better than I expected it to be. The team I am with are amazing as they have been supportive to me since the beginning however, the uni side of things wasn't for me to begin with but I am starting to understand it more and what is wanted of me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a lot of new skills by embarking on an apprenticeship over going straight into a job role as the slower mix between learning and doing my job is a good level in order for me to understand what I ma doing so I am able to continue it by myself.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is very structured for the ability to let someone grow and be themselves whilst implementing new ways of working encouraged by the others around and how they do things. It is cool to be part of a team of such different people yet it works so well. Everything is organised multiple times.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive support when I need it and know who the people are that can help f I do need it. I have needed their help before already and I know personally just how much they can actually help. On the other side of things they are also good to help with the work side if you have any questions about how to do things.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training provider give help when you need it or ask them for it. This is good as some people just like to get on with it themselves and not want any help but if they see you starting to struggle they will double check to make sure everything is alright.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
They both link together very well as if I ma doing a module in Uni that I want more practice on from the real world I can talk to my manager and see if they have any work for me to do that relates to this which helps me to get better at my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are loads of things to get involved with as extras. STEAM activities are good as they vary so much and can offer amazing opportunities for an apprentice to help prepare them for the wider world. These can help out with communication and other skills similar to this a lot.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
BAE Systems is an amazing place to work with great opportunities to develop a person to be their best and I love it here so why wouldn't I recommend it? No matter what kind of job you want to do they will have a job role for you. They also handle situations very well showing how good the support is for employees.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
I would tell them to be honest with themselves about what kind of job they want to do. There are so many opportunities here they shouldn't just stick to applying for the popular job roles and should try doing something unique. Always try your best and you will do just fine as they can see when someone is really trying for something they want to achieve.
