Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am a first year Project Management apprentice. My day-to-day work revolves around organising tasks and reporting on progress within my allocated area of responsibility. I attend Uni one day per week.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have enjoyed my programme thoroughly and I am very proud and grateful to have been given this opportunity. BAE invest a lot time and money into their apprentices and it really shows.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt so much, I cannot begin to describe! From a technical point of how aircraft are built, the technicalities of the project and the skills of project management.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The apprenticeship is very well structured and organised. The placements can vary however the apprenticeship team are always there to support you.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The early careers team are very supportive and would feel very comfortable discussing any issues I had with them. The placement team have also been fantastic.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
An adequate amount of support. I haven't felt the need to ask for any support from them at this stage. The first year of Uni is quite easy going.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification definitely helps. The ramp up in knowledge you get from placement quickly outweighs what you get from Uni but that due to the steep learning curve.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are a lot of work related days/sessions you can get involved with. I'm not sure of any sporting events however I'm sure if I looked into it, I would find some.
