Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

day to day tasks involved working towards my Level 2 qualification as well as one day a week at college working on on the Level 4-6 qualification. once done this then led onto moving into working placements within the business
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed to programme to an extent as it was very interesting industry and work and working on cutting edge technology but it did lack, for me personally, hands on work. This is something it thought would be involved in the work but there was a small amount in training but the majority is at a computer.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt many new IT skills on a computers as well as engineering computer skills such as CAD. I also learnt about a completely new industry to me. this involved how some certain processes are carried out as well as learning about to standard work.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured and is a very advanced programme. there were somethings that could have been done better when we started with passing on of information as well as during the apprenticeship when we had questions but other that it was very well organised and structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i personally have dyslexia and i was offered plenty of support in my programme. there was also plenty of support out there for many problems such as mental and physical health as well as assistance in your work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

For the qualifications in the apprenticeship we are offered support within work and college. this is from our skills coaches as well as our tutors. there is support during lectures a swell as in work and additional support is offered, especially in college, from our tutors if we need help on topics or assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

it does give you some extra knowledge for within you job role but the overlap from what i have experienced isn't much.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes there are other activities you can join in with outside of work with your colleagues.

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?

Why?
i would recommend it to someone who i deemed suitable for it as it is a very challenging course with responsibilities. it also involves very little hands on work which is something some people don't always expect when going into the engineering industry. but for someone who is suited i would definitely recommend it as it is an amazing opportunity in quite an amazing industry

read into what it is you are going into in your job role.
makes sure you stay up to date within your role and qualification work.
