Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role generally revolves around doing workflwos which are a set of instructions given by surveyors for the accounts team to action. the workflows will generally be for the up keep of properties in which we manage so this can involve setting up a new lease or vacating a tenant. i know have my own clients so my role will now include reporting which would have to be communicated to the client.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Up to now I have really enjoyed my programme, I've learnt all types of skills and I'm working in a sector I never thought id be interested in so everyday I find I'm learning something new. it has more than exceeded my expectations and i expect that to continue.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Since starting my apprenticeship I've learned a variety of different skills. in particular my knowledge of excel has improved massively since i use things like vlookups and pivot tables on a regular basis. I've also gained the skills of using our accounting software MRI which is specifically tailored for property management companies

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I've found everything has been clearly set out for me so i have a clear plan of where I'm going with points on how i progress past each step.. the support has been great from the team and I've never felt like i was at a point where i was at a cross road unsure how to move forward.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
i think that i have received all the support i have needed from my employer, they have always pushed me to go further and provided me with the guidance with how i would get there. I've also had members of the team who were in my position in the past so its been a great help having them help along the way.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
like my employer i feel like ive had all the support i need from my training provider, when ever i have had issues they have been more than happy to assist me even in times when we are out of the classroom. i get on really well with my tutor which think has been a massive help
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
the type of work i do for my qualification doesn't really translate well to what i do for my job roll as most of the processes are completely different however there are a few skills that were transferable like my Microsoft excel knowledge for example which is something i use on a day to day basis
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Pre-lockdown the team would quite a few social events for team bonding such as going out for a drink or to do something like bowling but for the last couple of years thats not really been possible due to restrictions, i believe that now things are easing up this will change

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
Yes
Why?
i would recommend Savills to a friend because its something that is likely to be completely different to what they are used to which opens up the possibility of learning a host of new skills that they most likely wouldn't have been able to acquire if they was to be employed somewhere else
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
the main advice i would give to someone thinking about applying to work at Savills is to remain open minded. there's absolutely loads of opportunities within the company to try something new and learn new skills so i would advise them to grab those opportunities with both hands
