During my apprenticeship I have had exposure to different products through rotations or secondments, whilst supporting my manager or supervisor to improve production. Having the responsibility of the basic maintenance and inspections on site, learning to operate mobile plant and undertake site-based duties.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Everyone is friendly with a lot of support when making decisions or making mistakes, which also makes work an enjoyable place to be.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Every day I am still learning, as the site has so many different areas. My confidence has increased a lot since starting this apprenticeship. Additionally, this work has greatly enhanced skills such as formal email writing and using Word and Excel programmes.

In Tarmac, there are numerous communities and support networks. This is so that we can have things like friends, as well as counsellors, and coaches for apprenticeships. These are real individuals who are active in our daily lives and serve as our managers, coaches, and points of contact for anything that may concern us. The support is incredible and ongoing.
