Financial reporting, performance analysis, procurement/requisitioning support, advice on best practice/finance processes for non finance experts in the business. Management reporting. Forecasting. Building relationships to provide accountability about financial management.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I'm enjoying the programme, the apprenticeship network in my department is very positive and it's nice to speak to others on the same/similar apprenticeships to me.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes. Building good working relationships, learning how finance works in larger organisations. Presenting and communications skills, and engaging with senior stakeholders.

I know what I need to be doing and when, I don't have to do much to make sure I get the right content and diary invites to access the programme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very supportive - my line manager is very invested in my training and makes sure I have the space for the off the job training.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My skills coach is brilliant and very supportive - making sure I have everything I need and helping if I have issues.

As I work in a finance role, I've found a lot of my learning has applied directly to my work and has enabled me to bring new perspective and expertise to some complex problems at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes - the apprenticeship network puts on events for apprentices, and there are many other clubs/societies to get involved with.
