Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I have been put onto a team that does not do much typical digital marketing. Day to day I would email markets and partners, lead budget for my team, make PowerPoints, be the bridge between partner projects and my team and communicate progression, data handling, attend meetings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
I originally applied for the level 6 but unfortunately got the level 3 programme. I was put into a team that did not do digital marketing which makes it extremely difficult to fill out my portfolio with digital marketing relevant things that would get me a pass.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
How to use programmes like excel, MailChimp, Google forms. Also presentation skills and networking.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
My multiverse coach left, suddenly, mid way through the apprenticeship and wasn’t that helpful to most apprentices. The training provider hub doesn’t have updated content that was taught during the live sessions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Quite a lot. Hey did show an interest in how I’m doing I my job and gives advice
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Not much support ..
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
Not at all because my job role has nothing to do with digital marketing. A separate team in the brand does the digital marketing
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are many activities and events in Unilever which is definitely the main positive

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
No
Why?
I would recommend the company, as a proper job to have due to the benefits of travel, discounts, overall work space, company status. For an apprenticeship I don’t think it’s a good choice as many apprentices feel like outsiders and there are other opportunities with better pay
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
Don’t go for multiverse, ensure your team is fitting if not tell your employer straight away
