Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a cyber engineer apprentice my role consists learning new skills relevant to cyber security and then putting them into practice through various tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the program to an extent where I understand the benefits and draw backs of being a year 1 apprentice in the sense that while I am still learning useful skills. Some tasks can see a bit irrelevant or menial

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learned a lot of skills on the job I would argue that i have learned more at work than at Uni

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

As far as the business is concerned it is very well organised but as for the Uni it is a bit chaotic.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Loads. I may be speaking for myself in this case but the level of support I get from my manager and early careers is AMAZING !
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My coach at Cranfield is amazing and so is my Programming lecturer how ever i cant say ive had great experiences with others.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Currently right now I don't think it does at all i think i will only feel like that once i get to specialise in cyber which is after my second year.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes there are loads of social events organised by various different people and everyone is welcome.

I think Its an excellent place to work for especially if youre trying to pursue a career in IT/engineering
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Brush up on your mental maths skills. I failed at the psychometrics test the first time I applied.
