Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am in charge of projects and making sure everyone knows what they need to do in order to make the project a success. I am involved in changing the packaging for our products as well as promoting these products. I also worked with data to look at our different products and what could be done better.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I love my job, I struggle a bit more with the learning as getting the work done for my role comes most important as there are things that need doing that can be detrimental to the business so this takes priority. But my training provider is so helpful and great to learn with.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a lot more about Excel as well as how to lead a large team and make sure to keep to time management in order to meet timings. I also have become a lot more confident and learnt things will go wrong and that is okay as long as you pick yourself back up.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I have a module every month which is 3 hours 30minutes and also have a catch up with my coach once a month as well. You then have an assignment after each module and an activate your learning before each module. I would say it is very structured but then it is up to you to block out the time in your work week to get the work done.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Multiverse and Unilever do not really have much crossover so they do not really get fully involved with my learning. However, they do make sure you get lots of opportunities to learn and experience new things and are very understanding that you have studies to do as well as a job.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
There is a lot of support with Multiverse. There is a community hub to ask all sorts of questions as well as lots of events and opportunities to chat to apprentices. You also have a coach where you can catch up with them whenever you are struggling or stuck and they are always there to help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
My qualification and my role have a couple overlaps, but they are quite different. My role is in project management and marketing whereas my qualification is very much data based. This has definitely helped me out a lot in some projects and research but it is not the main part of my job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are always social events and activities going on. These are always very good fun as well as having a netball team and our own Great British Bake Off. They always get everyone involved and make sure that as many people know as possible about these events and it is a great way to meet new people and network while having fun.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There is so much freedom in the company and so many ways to grow. Everyone is so nice and friendly and always there to help out. You get so many opportunities and experiences through the company and get to do things you never would think you would ever get to do.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
Be confident and show how you stand out from the rest. Do your research as well about the role. Make sure you are showing them how much you know and why you would be an asset.
