Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
Installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment, such as circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and lighting.
Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems to diagnose and repair issues.
Maintaining and servicing electrical systems to ensure they are safe and functioning properly.
Following safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injury on the job.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Moreover, electricians take pride in their work, knowing that their expertise is essential in ensuring the safety and comfort of people who use the buildings and structures they work on. Many electricians also appreciate the flexibility that their work offers, as they may work independently or as part of a team and may have opportunities to specialise in different areas of electrical work.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Communication skills: Electricians need to be able to communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, and supervisors. They may need to explain technical information in a way that is easy for non-experts to understand.
Time-management skills: Electricians often work on tight deadlines, so they need to be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently.

How well organised/structured is your programme?
Classroom instruction: Apprentices attend classes to learn the theoretical knowledge required for the trade, such as electrical theory, safety procedures, and building codes.
Progression through levels: Apprenticeships are typically structured in levels, with apprentices advancing to higher levels as they gain more experience and knowledge.
Regular assessments: Apprentices may be assessed regularly to ensure that they are meeting the standards required for each level of the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
