Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My day to day role, significantly varies. I split my time between being out on site and being in the office. As a building surveyor, i carry out a lot of inspection as well as writing up reports and answering emails.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Although the programme is very challenging and time consuming, I have no regrets with joining the firm at a younger age, and achieving my qualification via the route I have done.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I am always learning and developing skills which are related to my job role. My main learning comes from my university degree, but a lot of the practical and useful learning I achieve by working with colleagues, and working on projects, learning off the experts.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Obviously, apprenticeships aren't as well established as the traditional graduate route into the industry, this said, my firm provide excellent support, and a structed, clear, programme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Almost more than is required, the internal support received is outstanding. There is always support when and where it is required.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The support provided from the training provider is excellent, and always plenty of material available.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel the learning from shadowing colleagues within the work place, has been more beneficial to me, rather than the teaching from the training provider. although this is probably just how I learn best.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, lots! Work isn't just a 9-5 job, there are several networking, social and sporting events which I involve myself in.
