Assisting with the project managers daily work, attending meetings, engaging with stakeholders. Working on improvement projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the apprenticeship community and engaging with other people on the programme. The programme offers many opportunities and stretch activities.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learnt many skills in accordance with the project management apprenticeship standard. For example, stakeholder engagement, teamwork, the business environment.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very structured with the review of knowledge, skills and behaviours to manage progress and find areas for improvement.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The early careers staff are available to assist and support. Regular reviews ensure there is frequent communication for me to raise any issues or concerns.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We review University progress at 12 weekly reviews to- ensure grades are on track. There are also opportunities to raise concerns about the university programme and to offer improvements.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It provides the background knowledge for project management topics and it can be practised in assessments. For example, using Microsoft project has been helpful when working on projects in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of stretch opportunities available such as helping with open evenings, doing activities with local schools and networking with other members of the function.
