My Job Role Involves attending to the workplace on time, completing the tasks and educational challenges set for us, we are currently completing maths and engineering bookwork which will help further my progression as an electrical fitter. We are required to take assessments to make sure what we are learning in the classroom is transitioning to the workshop,
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme as it allows me to progress with my knowledge both in the classroom and in the workshop. this then allows me to gain more experience as and electrical fitter and start to get me familiar with my surroundings. I enjoy my programme as it also allows me to interact with likeminded people
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I Have further developed my skills in the educational part of the job such as learning how forces work and so forth. It has also helped me set up a better routine and allow me to benefit and get as much work done in the allocated times. It has also developed my skills when it comes to awareness and Health and Safety in the workshop.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structured well as it allows us to work hard during the day but also be able to rest and relax on our breaks. It balances the workload and the recovery time well so we can be ready to perform to the best of our ability after the breaks
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received support from my employer when i am in need of something as well as being able to be supported aswell as they being able to contact me if they are in need of something off of me. this is allowing me to progress and make sure im doing the correct thing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We are given the support needed when completing courses and as well as completing class work this is then allowing us to confidently be able to complete our work in our classrooms. They will also explain something to you if you are in need of assistance in that moment in time.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It will help me perform better in my role as it will allow me to have the knowledge and information to then be able to perform better in the workplace and it can help efficiency in the workshop aswell as helping out with the business in that perspective of the job
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is social networking events that are able to partake in extra - curricular activities, despite not currently attending any of these said events there are certain things that are available for people to partake in after work aswell as there is a social event on a friday afternoon which all people are invited to.

I would recommend BAE Systems to a friend because it is a good job opportunity with the ability to progress throughout your time here. It is also a very good company when it comes to job security and the managers can assist with the things you are struggling with throughout your course
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
I would advise them to portray them selves the best they can be to ensure they are accepted into the business, this then would give them a better chance of being accepted. they will also give you the opportunity in the interview to showcase your personality and they will let you be yourself
