Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am involved in daily drive meetings to push forward the programmes whilst providing input for these meetings. I am usually in the office which allows me to talk to my team easily and other related teams who share the same office space. I am responsible for multiple inputs into different programme packs as well as reporting on the progress made.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the programme. It allows me to experience multiple different areas in the business whilst progressing my competencies. It gives me options to choose from for where I want my future roles to be, as some business areas are not always the center of attention. The university side of the programme is less great due to it being more generalised knowledge which can be applied to multiple businesses where as learning from the company is more valuable since that is the way it will be done the way the business wants it done.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have improved a lot of my skills, the main one being communication due to the need to talk with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis helping with collaborating and teamwork. This has also helped with my leadership skills as I have become more confident in myself and the work I've produced. A new skill I have developed is controlling a project in terms of time, cost and quality.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The organisation of the programme is well defined and is known for the length of the programme. There is usually communications about what the next units are and who/where it is expected to be delivered. The business areas are aware of how long apprentices are expected to be with them for and are well organised and equipped to take us on.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The employer supports all the way through the scheme. They provide multiple opportunities for us to take to progress. Each placement offers a different amount of support depending on what is expected and due to different people having different leadership styles however the I have received has bee adequate and if I have any problems or queries they are answered.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The training provider provides support regularly. They offer appropriate support if required but some can offer no support as well. Usually the tutors will provide drop in sessions and are willing to answer any questions, via email or in person. Each unit is set out in a similar way which helps since there is similarity which, in my opinion, helps since it doesn't mean learning how someone else prefers to set out any work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualifications help provide a general level of knowledge. being in the professional environment provides a better understanding of how each qualification is used in practice. Through the professional environment, you are able to learn more about what is expected and what is required. The qualification provides for a diverse array of businesses and some may be irrelevant since BAE is much larger
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are multiple extra curricular activities and opportunities. There are opportunities offered throughout the year depending on what is occurring both internally and externally, and are offered to anyone to apply for.
