My role is an operations apprentice this means I have moved through the departments working on fulfilling customer orders. This had been through stowing,picking and packing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it the more it goes on and I'm sad its almost over. At first I can seem like a lot of work but as time goes on you can see how it all connects to my place of work and the supply chain industry

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my confidence, problem solving and data analysis. I stepped up into an L&D role for 5 months and also learnt leadership skills
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It's very well structured on babbingtons (learning provider) side however on the operations side I feel like they need to be better education on what we are there to do
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a mixed amount of support depending on who my manager is at the time. Some go above and beyond and others don't really know who you are
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support, at one point in the course I got very behind but the support was there to put a plan in place and so I'm confident I will finish my apprenticeship
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It's helped me have a better understanding of my work place as a whole. I now understand how each department affects eachother, as well as how external factors have a impact too
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are different groups you are able to become part of ranging from sports teams, diversity groups and charity events.

Would you recommend Amazon to a friend?
No
Why?
I would of recommended amazon in the past but as there is currently a hiring freeze there is a lack of progression available. The wage could also be improved.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Amazon?
It's long days and hard work but it can be an experience, give it your all and aim to be the best and you never know where you might get.
