Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work in the property management department at Savills where I deal with the day-to-day management of various properties across all sectors. This includes liaising frequently with occupiers and clients in order to ensure funds are being received and the client's assets are being maintained appropriately.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy the degree apprenticeship, it is very well laid out and I genuinely enjoy doing the day-to-day work and find the university course easy to follow.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have acquired and developed many new skills as I had no prior experience in the real estate industry. Some of these include property management, problem solving, client direction and many more.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well structured and is work dominant which I much prefer. I attend university in 2 week blocks, 3 times a year which allows me to maintain a good balance between my work, university studies and personal life.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support, particularly from those higher up in the business such as directors. They are very engaged with both apprentices and graduates and ensure that we are comfortable within our roles and our needs are being met.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
There is not as much interraction between myself and the training provider however they make it clear that should we ever have any questions or require 1 to 1 meetings, this can easily be accessed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel like the qualification (so far) gives me a better understanding on a lot of the fundamentals however, due to limited time in university, a lot of the areas covered do not apply to my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are an abundance of social events which you can participate in, many of these also being for charity. Some of these include sports days, bake offs, lunches and various other enjoyable activities.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Savills is a fantastic business which genuinely cares about your personal development and are happy to support you throughout. The work is very enjoyable and easy to acquire a passion for and the social events are a great bonus.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
Be transparent and always be yourself. Be sure to show an eagerness and be attentive. Dress smart and come prepared with questions should you be in an interview.
