Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

A graduate planner within the Savills South East planning team, based in the Guildford office. Providing support on a variety of projects within the South East of England. This includes the monitoring of planning applications, development of planning appraisals and assisting with the preparation of planning applications, permitted development schemes and appeals.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Savills are really supportive and offer lots of training and support through the apprenticeship programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, there are lots of opportunity to develop and learn new skills, including project management and stakeholder management skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The Savills side of the programme are really supportive and organised, there are quarterly training days. The university side of the apprenticeship programme feels more disorganised and not that well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Plenty.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

LSBU have not been very supportive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

A few modules have given wider theory knowledge, but on the whole most of what I have learnt at work is way more relevant and useful to my job.
