4/5

- Coach team members to arrive at decisions on their own
- Support and encourage team members to produce high quality, meaningful data
- Strong problem solving skills and confidently conduct root cause analysis
- Enact continuous improvement, undergo post-implementation reviews
- Project manage various HR projects; performance management cycle, bonus activity and pay review
- Operate cross functionally with excellent stakeholder management
- Improving self-service within HR community to become more data-driven

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
To an extent, I mainly enjoy my programme. I feel it is a good variety and will give me the opportunity to potentially change my career in the future outside of HR, such as a Data Scientist. However, there are frustrations with my programme such as capability of tutors and level of support and response time to queries which has been very frustrating and impacted my learning at times, in terms of hindering it

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've learnt both new skills and also developed existing skills
Learnt skills; project management and navigating a critical path, leadership, coaching, python coding knowledge as part of my studies which has been great
Developed further the following skills; stakeholder management, adaptable, high attention to detail, problem solving skills, data analysis

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
I would say the programme is structured in a bit of a strange way, in that we are having to submit formative assignments so early on and then don't have feedback for a long period of time. This can make it hard to know if I am going down the wrong path and can feel in the dark with some parts of assignments as formative is too early
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A lot of support. Whilst it can be challenging to work and study at the same time, my leader is very supportive of me taking time out in bulk to complete my study activities. I feel very fortunate to have this and know that if I needed more time, I could ask my leader for more study leave. I also have flexibility within this and there is a level of trust maintained
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I receive a good level of support from my training provider in terms of my coach. I have regular meetings and a chance to raise concerns. However, the level of support from my tutors hasn't always been available, such as no response or lack of response to queries on assignments which can cause more stress
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel I am learning from my qualification but it isn't all necessary to my current role. I feel it more helps me broaden my horizons in the future rather than helping me in the role directly. Although sometimes there are the options to reflect which does encourage me to stop and think about how far I've actually come
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are social activities such as support cafes and other workstreams but no sports teams which is a shame as I've had this previously in other organisations and it has been really good

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend RSA Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
A supportive organisation that encourages people to be the best version of themselves. Can at times feel personable and have a nice touch. Feel appreciated and acknowledged by senior leaders for my efforts and contributions. Also have the chance to progress within the RSA, I've been promoted since I started here and there are also development opportunities available such as studying
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSA Group?
Research the organisation, it isn't as corporate as you may think. Also aim to underpin your application under the RSA values
