Validation and Interpretation of Energy Volumes, ensuring data/volumes are correct to enable financial models, forecasting and customer costs are recovered.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Completely. It was a fruitful experience which I enjoyed, it taught me skills that have helped me flourish in this environment.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Excel skills have been greatly increased, PowerBI modelling has been fundamental to the progression of the company.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

There were issues with when skills were taught, and alignment with the projects - this caused going over old material to remember the information, rather than learn, understand, embed. However, it would be remiss not to point out that I detailed these shortcomings, and the provider amended the programme accordingly.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer was engaged with my progression and support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Outside of the monthly sessions, I didn't necessarily need the support, however, the few times I did need help, the support was prompt and helpful
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I've been able to improve complex modelling performance from 44.5 hours per month to 2 hours 10 minutes. You read that correctly.

We have regular social activities in the team, and also a virtual fitness group.

Why?
This specifically relates to a back office data driven environment - It's a tough time, where there are improvements to be made - Energy is a finite resource, and the drive for using less, paying less, and minimising the environmental impact of high importance
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON UK?
There's a lot to learn! It's not just about billing energy. There's a whole element of forecasting, trading, purchase, validation - that's even before it gets to what the customer sees!
