Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Currently I work in the Social Media team within the Brand & Marketing department. My day to day involves the creation of social media posts for all the E.ON channels. This sees me creating the end-to-end process from the actual content to writing the copy, then sending this off for approvals and finally posting it out. It can also involve dealing with budgets and boosting posts.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The Future Leaders Degree Apprentice Scheme programme offers me experience in any department I want through taking 6 month placements over 4 years. I have complete free will to choose where I go and is often encouraged to do completely different jobs that I wouldn't consider doing to find out what I like and don't like. This gives me the chance to develop skills where else I wouldn't have otherwise.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many new skills here including copy writing, content creation, stakeholder management on top of many more. It has also given me the chance to develop my existing skills such as data skills: data analysis, Microsoft excel, creation of post campaign analysis among many other things along these lines.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is very well structured into the six month placements, however it also comes with enough flexibility to start or finish these early if you find better opportunities or are getting no more benefit of a current placement. there is a vast support network in place to help you through your time here as well .
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I have access to three apprentice leaders, that all different relationships with me as I need. I am given a business mentor who is someone much higher up in the business and can help with networking and similar tasks. There is a large amount of flexibility from E.ON and a large amount of trust placed on us to get the work done.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I attend the university of Derby a couple times every few week, and have a support network of my lecturer and academic tutor.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
