First Year Workshop Review

During the insight, I was introduced to the firm and following this, engaged in a disputes case study. This was followed by an introduction to the advocacy group and the role of trainees in preparing and presenting.
During the afternoon, we engaged in an ADR workshop. This involved discussing case details, creating mediation terms and discussing with another group representing the other party’s interests.
Finally, Day 1 ended with a Chocolate making social activity.

It was really intriguing and exciting. The firm has a detailed array of options and all the speakers throughout the sessions gave thorough and engaging insights into the role of trainees in various groups.

I’ve been able to develop my teamwork skills through the ADR workshop. It helped me to be attentive to and perceptive of other arguments and mediation strategies.
Furthermore, during the chocolate making activity, my breakout group helped create a proposal for a new chocolate bar. I was able to develop my creative and teamwork skills further, as we had to discuss the name, marketing strategy and other aspects of the product.

Extremely welcoming, warm and open. I appreciated the involvement of Partners, Senior Associates and Associates who were willing to spend time answering questions in the main stage and through the chat function.

To a large extent. I really enjoyed the networking opportunities and the group work opportunities, especially through the ADR workshop and with the trainee networking session. All the sessions were engaging and I enjoyed hearing the work the firm has engaged in.
