Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Day-to-day I handled business infrastructure demands, taking broadband line requests and liaising with our supplier.
I also handled IT support queries from internal customers, ensuring colleagues could effectively complete their daily tasks and projects with IT systems and applications.
I conducted IT ‘Madterclasses’ where I taught users the use of different applications and IT skills.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was able to take ownership of the delivery of masterclasses, given housekeeping activities to gather data on IT activities within the business - presenting them on a regular basis to coordinator groups and higher management.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Plenty of guidance and support on a variety of work based and personal matters, colleagues always available and happy to help with tasks or skills development. Guidance from line management was helpful but also hands off in times of independent work.
