Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work within a team of client accountants, on a weekly basis I complete payments to client, workflows that are sent over by surveyors and any tasks sent to me by people within my team. I also have one day off a week for studying, which I have workshops with my training provider.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I would say some days have been challenging and I have doubted my abilities and whether or not I belong on the course, but with the support I've received I have gained more confidence and am enjoying it a lot more.
I really enjoy joining in with al of the extras Savills offer too, charity work, volunteering and conferences.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a lot since starting at Savills, I had some experience within accounts previously, but never in property, so I've had to learn a lot.
My team have been really supportive and are always willing to show me new processes and how to use the system.
I have also learnt so much from my sessions with Train together and their online system Mindful.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is extremely organised, the training provider sticks to a clear structure so I always know what is expected of me and when it needs to be completed by.
Within the office I now have a full working week which has grown bit by bit each week since starting.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive amazing support from my employer and from people who work within the business, I have regular one on ones and feel safe to discuss what's on my mind.
There is also online support if I did not wish to discuss things in person and Savills hold wellness days/sessions often throughout the year.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Train together have been very supportive from the start.
I receive quick reply's if I am ever struggling on a topic and have weekly contact with my tutor who is always checking in to see how I am getting on or to see if i need any help with any topics.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think that my qualification helps to a certain extent with my role within Savills, although property is very specific, so some things I learn don't relate directly to what I do on a day to day basis.
There has been a few occasions where I have been able to understand things a lot easier once completing certain sessions with my training provider.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are so many things to get involved with at Savills, some things I have attended are, sport events, conferences, induction days, volunteering, charity work and office quizzes.
Savills really promote the social aspect of work, and I'm always made aware of anything going on within the business and in Birmingham.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think Savills is a great company to work for. They offer great support, always want me to be involved in events in and outside of work, although I'm an apprentice I get treated like any other member of my team and there is a great work ethic within the offices and I can tell people love what they do.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
For anyone else applying to Savills I would advise them to get involved with everything offered to them, its a great way to make new friends and learn the wider areas of the business and what Savills get involved with.
Also to ask all of the questions, people love what they do here and love to talk and help anyway they can,.
