Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was responsible for management of the highway network and its condition using tools such as GIS, Confirm (AM system) Access and Excel.
I managed data related to highways and managed highway asset inventory’s for all assets on the highway network. (Gullys, signs, carriageway ….)

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given much the same responsibilities as the full time staff however I was unable to do any site based experience due to COVID restrictions.

I would suggest to put yourself out there and ask plenty of questions. The team members I worked with were more than happy to help and answer any queries I had.
